Ahuva Batya [Constance] Scharff is the Senior Addiction Research Fellow and Director of Addiction Research at Cliffside Malibu Treatment Center and coauthor of the Amazon.com #1 bestselling book, Ending Addiction for Good. She is an internationally recognized speaker on the topic of substance abuse.

From an early age, Ahuva was interested in how people relate to God. She became a spiritual seeker, traveling widely around the world and is an independent researcher in the field of ecstatic spiritual experience in a broad range of traditions. Trained by some of the world’s leading thinkers in psychology, cybernetics, and integral theory, she focuses specifically on the ways in which ecstatic spiritual experiences can radically transform those who have them.

For more than twenty years, Ahuva has sought understanding from all available sources: rabbis, shamans, mystics, and teachers from traditions across the globe. She has traveled the world visiting practitioners of various religious traditions in order to help her understand her own mystical experiences. Eventually, she found her spiritual home when she met a rabbi who introduced her to Jewish mysticism, helping her find comfort and strength in the traditions of her ancestors.
