Synopsis
In the Pew is a griping tale of family, faith and forgiveness. The story begins with the untimely death of Paul and Rachael Reading, the parents of five little girls. Lydia, the main character is the oldest daughter and the narrator of our story. Through her eyes, we take a glimpse into the intriguing lives of her sisters, uncles, aunts and adopted family. After, Lydia’s parent died, she and her sisters come to live with their unconventional uncle and aunt. They must learn to face their fears and rise above them. Lydia and her sisters learn that family loves in spite of, that faith is more than just a word and forgiveness can mend bridges. They face everyday challenges and a few unexpected ones that leave them reeling from the shock. There are secrets and lies that wait to destroy their newly formed family unit. Lydia feels as if the weight of the world has come to rest upon her shoulders. She must ask herself a tough question. What will she sacrifice for the people that she loves?
