Eileen Santangelo Hult is a teacher with 25 years of teaching experience in New York, Wisconsin and Texas. In 2008, she received her National Board Teacher Certification . Mrs. Hult taught for 12 years in Clear Creek Independent School District, League City, Texas and is a resident of Houston. As an adjunct at the University of Houston Clear Lake, Mrs. Hult taught “Reading Development in Young Children.”

She was cited in Who’s Who Among American Teachers in 2005. She has a Masters in Early Childhood Education and a Masters in Business Administration.

In 2007, she received the Marian and Speros Martel Early Childhood Educator of the Year Award from the Children’s Museum of Houston. Mrs. Hult lives in Clear Lake City, Houston with her husband Gene. She has 3 sons who live in the New York area, Gene, Fred and Rob Hult. She also has two grandchildren, George and Madelyn and a daughter-in-law Ann-Gail Hult, wife of Fred Hult. Her grandmother’s love of Texas prompted her to write this book on Texas Heroes. Her 2nd grade class used some of the poems to create a show called Texas Tunes and Trivia.
